About me

Ms. BAE is native Korean teacher, is highly regarded by her students for her fun and effective teaching. She uses "Communicative Appoach" & "Task Based" Teaching methods. She is currently also the vice Principal of the Korean school of WA(KSWA) and setting up the administrative system & providing advice on curriculum on Hanguel classes based on new guidelines.

Ms. Bae is with B.A., was trained at the Korean Language Education Centre (KLEC)in Sogang University, Seoul & the Berlitz language centre Singapore. For the past 10 years, she has gathered a wealth of experience promoting Korean language and culture. She first introduced a 3 levels course at an institution, the Japanese Association Singapore & Singapore Polytechnic, a goverment-funded instituion. From 2004, as the head and co-ordinator of the Korean Language Programmes(KLP) Dept., NUS Extention, Singapore. She pioneered many areas, such as:

-Introduced a 6 levels KLP and cultural courses like "Korean Drama Class"

-Set up the Korean Language Proficiency Test (KLPT) Centre

-Played a pivotal role in Exchanges between Korea and Singapore(Scholarships, exchange and immersion)

-Was a committee member when NUS and the Korean Foundation collaborated to start new programmes

- Published her 5th "Conversational Basic Korean" textbook by NUS Publisher.
In Oct. 10, after Korean Language & Education Center(KLCEC) Pty Ltd was incorporated, responses from students have been encouraging with the introduction of regular with 4 levels and short Korean courses in Perth for the "1st" time. She also teaches at TAEF College from 2012. To encourage her students to further develop their language skills, the top students of KLCEC is offering a scholarship to study in Sogang University of Seoul, Korea. In 2013, She introduced the immersion course with an institution Seoul, Korea. Her students who attended for TOPIK test (Basic level) in 2012, all passed with successful results after learning Korean for 56~60 hours only.
